About me

Hi, I’m Amy, the owner and founder of Amy’s Wine House, and I’m so glad you’re here!

I’ve always found myself working in hospitality in one form or another. While I had initially embarked on another career path, my focus quickly shifted and my main endeavor became food and wine in 2015.

Originally working in a beautiful, high-end hair salon in Buckhead, Georgia, I felt as though I was lacking something. Getting creative with hair was great, but it wasn’t amazing, and I was looking for that drive. As 2015 was coming to an end, I took the plunge and totally redirected my career by enrolling at Le Cordon Bleu in Atlanta.

Soon after, I landed my first restaurant job at Ponce City Market and I knew I had found something marvelous. As I continued my back-of-house adventure, I took another position at Kyma, the flagship restaurant of Buckhead Life Restaurant Group, where I was introduced to my first private wine dinner. Checkmate - I knew what my next move needed to be.

Fast forward to 2019, when my itch for wine knowledge was amplifying, I landed an interview at Chateau Elan Winery & Resort in Braselton, Ga. During my time at Chateau Elan, I have grown and expanded personally and professionally, which lead me to the creation of this company. Furthermore, I am proud to say that I have earned my Introductory Sommelier with the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) and The Court of Master Sommeliers.

I whole-heartedly stand by the beautiful union that is food, wine, and camaraderie. The moments of joy and laughter over a bodacious bottle of Nebbiolo is what it’s all about, and it is the basis of my beliefs.

I look forward to sharing my admiration for this industry with you all.

Cheers,

Amy
